The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.įor he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted neither hath he hid his face from him but when he cried unto him, he heard. The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer my God, my strength, in whom I will trust my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,Īnd said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away blessed be the name of the LORD. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Glory and honor are in his presence strength and gladness are in his place. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.īe strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.Īnd the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him male and female created he them. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.Īnd God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
